Six interchangeable blades cover the cuts that actually come up in cooking: two slicing thicknesses at 3 mm and 1.5 mm, two grater sizes, a cross cutter for dicing, and an egg slicer. Swapping blades takes a moment and gives you apple chips, onion rings, salad slices or pizza toppings from the same frame.
The part that saves the most time is the 360 degree rotating strainer, which doubles as a draining basket - cut straight into it, then spin and rinse without moving anything to a colander. A finger guard keeps hands clear of the blades, which matters on a mandoline more than on most tools.
