A handheld sealer that both closes and opens bags. Running it along the top of a bag lays down a clean heat seal; the second function cuts a sealed bag open again neatly, so you are not tearing packets or hunting for scissors.
At roughly 9.5 x 3.5 x 4 cm and 90 g it disappears into a drawer, a bag or a fridge shelf, and the built-in battery charges over USB rather than eating disposable cells. The controls are two clear buttons, with nothing to set up before use. It works on the thin plastic bags most food comes in - PP, PE and PVC.
